Goodbye Soy Sauce, Hello Coconut Aminos

coconut oil is very good for you

Soy Sauce, that salty goodness that compliments many types of sushi and goes into Asian recipes.  We all love it, yet we hate the side effects that comes from it.  Mainly the bloating.  You know you’ve been there, when you can’t take off your rings?  What about the fact that most if not all are genetically modified?  Gross.

I personally am against all GMO’s.  I do now allow my children to eat anything with a GMO in it, and do the same for myself.  I wouldn’t say that I am a health freak, but I do draw my limits when it comes to putting genetically modified ingredients in my body when I can do something about it.  I have enough gene mutations, I don’t need anymore thankyouverymuch.

Due to my extensive research about GMO’s lately, I came across the use of COCONUT AMINOS in place of Soy Sauce.  What is a Coconut Amino you ask?  Basically it is organic coconut tree sap and organic sea salt.  That is it.  The coconut tree is tapped and the sap is blended with sea salt.  They are also gluten-free, soy-free, MSG-free, kosher and vegan.  In today’s day and age, what more could a person from Los Angeles want? To top it off, coconut aminos also protect the heart and reduce the risk of certain cancers.
