- Infinity Display– With a 5.8-inch display squeezed into a typical sized phone, what you see is more screen and almost zero bezel. Beautiful looking phone!
- Home Button – While apple calls it “Force Touch,” the Galaxy has a similar feature wherein the home button does not actually move when pushed, but instead boasts haptic feedback to mimic the feeling of pushing an actual button.
- Great Selfies– While the rear facing camera remains the same, the big changes come in the way of the selfie front facing camera complete with 8-megapixel photos with an f/1.7 lens and a kick-ass autofocus feature. This camera is made for selfies.
- Face Scanning -While Samsung has offered this for years on their phones, this version is lighting fast and allows you to sign into your phone in less then a second with a quick face scan. With the fingerprint button moved to the back of the phone, we like this feature for everyday use and ease.
- Bixby– Just like Siri, Bixby will help you get things done through or on your phone. Not quite as useful as Siri, but very close and good enough for us.
- DeX– DeX is a stand with a USB-C plug, a handful of ports, and a tiny fan to keep the unit cool. This stand effectively gives you a PC-like mobile desktop on a display.
- 3.5 MM Headphone Jack– I’ll stick with my headphone jack as long as I can get it. While Apple removed it, to me its a great standard option I’m not ready to lose.
- New Battery– With last year’s exploding batteries, this brand was on the verge of disappearing. Fast forward and they have fixed the battery issue, so thats certainly a plus!
